- Public transitThe Hampton Jitney stops in Greenport, NY and Sag Harbor, NY. From there you are able to walk or drive onto the Shelter Island Ferry (Ferry time: approximately 15 minutes). You can call ahead for a local taxi to pick you up on the Shelter Island side.
