We recently dined at Sushi and Salad in Stamford, and while the food was outstanding, the service was absolutely unacceptable. We had to wait 30 minutes just to get a waiter to take our order - and that was only after flagging someone down. By the time our food finally arrived, nearly an hour had passed. To make matters worse, not a single staff member came to check on us or ask how our meal was, even though we saw other tables being attended to regularly. The food may have been excellent, but the appalling lack of attention and care from the staff completely ruined our experience.

Love the interior, food was really delicious and service was excellent, the girl was ever polite and patient, really appreciated her help with menu - she definitely has a lot knowledge about it

Exceptional service from friendly and knowledgeable staff. Presentation of food was wonderful and the atmosphere was good. Loved the decor. We would definitely return!

Becoming less great vfm wise. But still a treat. Shame re the super noisy fan whirring away. Like having lunch in a hangar

Unlike many previous visits, tonight the service was off-the-boil. We had booked a table for five, for a daughter’s birthday, but when we arrived we were taken to a table with six seats, but only set for four. The menus came and drinks were ordered, then later the food order was taken. After about 25 minutes our sushi starters came, but only when my daughter asked did three of our five drinks turn up. Then I had to ask for a place setting for the birthday girl. Chopsticks and napkin came, but no soy sauce bowl and plate. Seven or eight minutes after the first three drinks came the manager come over to say they had run out of the other two drinks ordered. When he asked us to make an alternative choice, these did come promptly. And to be fair, they didn’t charge for these. On a positive note, the actual food was as good as ever. Just a shame the organisation wasn’t up to the mark. The music could be more uplifting for the occasion, The Smith/ Morrisey’s greatest hits that played the whole time we were there. Songs about death and suicide just don’t make for a enjoyable meal out.

Everything was great as ever, this was our third time here and we’ve always had a great meal, the Sashimi tastes fresh and looks amazing, can’t fault the food, tip top

Always very happy with this place! Food is superb. Service also great. Love the decor/ambiance of it - feels wonderfully independent. Recommend very highly. Will continue to be a regular!
