Excellent, enjoyable meal with great service. Our waiter was from Serbia and was an absolute pleasure to meet. Sweet Basil never disappoints.

Great experience. Natasha our server was wonderful and made our experience all that much better. Food excellent. We really liked all our appetizers.

Be prepared to wait! Food is great but Sweet Basil needs more tables for 2! And needs to be able to speed up service if wanted! We arrived 10 min early for our 7:45 reservation for 2 thinking we could get a drink if the table wasn't ready. The bar was packed - no space to even reach in to order a drink. We were told we "would be seated closer to our reservation time." By 8 pm I was getting tired standing around. Three groups of 4 or more who came in after were seated before us! Even a group of 5 that had no reservation got seated at the empty Hightop. They would not seat us on the Hightop since there were no seats for 2. Front desk checked with management but? Seating = management issue #1. After almost 45 minutes, we were seated! Part of the reason we think our table took so long to be ready was that you have to wait so long for your server at the beginning and throughout the dinner. We were so starving by the time we could order, we over-ordered. Our poor server was sweet and amazing (Craig) but overworked (almost running around) and just couldn't get to us - another management issue! The kitchen service was great - food came fast when finally able to order. First food came after 9 pm. Clearing plates took forever and we are not rushing people. Management issue # 2 - need more waiters - unless it was an off night? FOOD: Oaxacan Winter cocktail - fabulous! I'd go back to the bar just to have that again! Ordered Whipped Feta with half-sweet honey since some had warned it was too sweet - and it was AMAZING!! Yellowtail Tataki - could have skipped. Bread - overpriced for what it was. Lamb - EXCELLENT!! Special Wagyu beef with huitlacoche - expensive but worth every penny!! Our waiter was great at recommending cook temps We left stuffed and exhausted at almost 10:30. Maitre D was nice and apologized for our wait. Staff was very nice. Management was the issue. Recommend having a bunch of tables for 2 on the Hightop that can be pushed together for larger parties.

Go to for lunch every time in Vail. Great cocktails!! Prices very fair. The whipped feta appetizer and toffee pudding cake always excellent

The Food, the ambiance, the wine and the server were great. We were celebrating our anniversary and they placed a happy anniversary card on the table and did congratulate us but that was it. It didn’t feel personalized, it was a generic card that everybody gets. We did order a dessert. Maybe something more personalized with the dessert we ordered? 10year anniversary is a great achievement nowadays. Thank you

Service was uncomfortably slow. Server was informative and nice but we could tell he was too busy to provide quality service. Appetizers were unique and flavorful. The entrees were disappointing- my pasta dish was lukewarm and bland . No bread or sides. The drinks were good but also very slow. The lemon fennel desert was unique and flavorful. Overall I was disappointed with everything. I have had much better meals at other places in Vail. I wont be going back my next visit to Vail.

Has a wonderful dinner here! The food was fantastic and the ambiance was quieter and calming. Our drinks (wine and espresso martini sans baileys) were also delicious.

One of, if not THE best meals I’ve ever had! Everything from the service, menu, atmosphere, wine pairing, and actual food were unbelievable.
