   I have enjoyed this venue a few times in their original location. The new location is wonderful, more room and comfort. A few observations on the logistics of the tea service. We noticed the schedule outline of delivery of each part of the tea service and wondered the reason behind it. We would have preferred to have selected any specialty tea choices up front so that we were able to enjoy it with the food, vs after the food was delivered. Same with the prosecco and water. We would have appreciated having the water served before or as we were seated. We would have enjoyed the prosecco before or at the same time the food was served. Small observations, but would have made the experience that much better. Overall, the tea service was great. Thank you.

   I had been to Sweet Marie's multiple times before but this time, it was a special occasion. It was my aunt's birthday - the first one in 56 years without my uncle. Sweet Marie's was a hidden gem at it's old location - now, its a wonderful, spacious, beautifully decorated Main Street gem! There were 6 of us for afternoon tea - we enjoyed an Oolong, an English Breakfast and a Chai - all perfectly brewed. The food, while seemingly simple, is an explosion of happiness on your taste buds. The cucumber sandwich is just delicious, the chicken salad perfect and who would have thought to put prosciutto with goat cheese and honey? Moving on to the warm scones with clotted cream - to die for! Finally, the pastries - melt in your mouth macaron, the amazing bonbon... after 90 minutes of delicious food and tea, you are ready for a nap. Oh - and I haven't mentioned the service yet. the young ladies representing their grandmothers legacy are just lovely. The sweetest, kindest young ladies ever. I wish them many years of success and plan to visit them again soon. You will only be disappointed if you don't go. Do it! Take the 90 minutes to relax and enjoy the superb presentation.

   Incredible experience! My friend and I had the best time. They even put a candle in her cake because we were celebrating her birthday. The food was amazing, and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience.

   I went to Sweet Marie's Tea Cottage with three of my friends for our tea party. We had gone to the original Tea Cottage and had a wonderful time so we wanted to check out the new location. We had a fabulous time! It is a very charming place and just what you would want a tea cottage to be. The food was delicious and everything on the three tiered tray was unique and special. I'm sure we will go back, keeping in mind that we need to make our reservation at least two weeks in advance to get the day we want. Suzanne W.

   Sweet Marie’s is the best tea for all the girls!! Every time I’ve gone it’s been such a sweet experience, the sandwiches scones and treats are wonderful & so delicious. Their new space is beautiful. The perfect place for a tea date or birthday tea with the girls.

   The venue was just what I imagined from the vintage plates, teacups and teapots to the tables and tableclothes and flatware. The service was spot on and the tea was perfectly prepared along with the tasty treats. Macaroons, cucumber sandwiches to little savory and sweet scones and delicious little cakes and chocolates. Even had a birthday candle to celebrate my sister's birthday. I would highly recommend Sweet Marie's Tea. It's quaint and the ambiance transported you back in time. We loved our time at Sweet Marie's. It was a relaxed Sunday afternoon. And it was very affordable. We were a half hour early so we even had a chance to window shop the little town of Wickford. We will visit Sweet Marie's again someday soon.

   I took my mom to Sweet Marie's Tea for my birthday celebration. The experience was wonderful! The food was delicious, the ambiance was perfect to celebrate a birthday, wedding or new baby! I highly recommend you book your special occasion at Sweet Marie's Tea!

    The rules here are strict and accommodation was challenging. Booked a party of 12 months in advance and they were resistant to the whole party sitting together in 1 table. Pushing two tables together was pulling teeth. Did not refill tea pots unless asked, which was challenging as they didn’t visit the tables often. While there are gluten and dairy free options available with advanced requested, they were limited and not as tasty. One of my sandwiches was a PBJ… and no gluten free scone option. Bread was not fresh or even toasted. For $36 (before a forced automatic tip…) I got 3 mini sandwiches and one macaron. Not even presented on a litter tier, just a mini plate. While the atmosphere was lovely, this was a poor value with lacking accommodations and I will not be returning.

    I’d like to address your review with full transparency. Your reservation was made on January 10th, 2025. Upon booking, you agreed to our cancellation policies, all outlined on our website. When one guest cancelled without notice, you insisted on not being charged. Their meal was prepared and served, and our team still made an exception for you. Our menu, pricing, and dietary options are available to review before booking. Allergen friendly menus were served on separate plates to reduce cross contamination, and all 3 guests with allergies were gifted an additional macaron, receiving two each, not one. My team remained attentive despite the demands made upon arrival and the way they were spoken to. While we welcome feedback, we stand by our staff, policies, and the service we provide.
