Tabachoy is a Tagalog nickname given to a friend or family member; it means chubby or fatty. We know it sounds mean, but Filipinos give each other inappropriately appropriate nicknames all the time. Your baby brother’s got some neck rolls? Tabachoy. Auntie’s six months pregnant? Tabachoy. Or your dad’s got a six pack, but just finished his third piece of bibingka? Tabachoy!

We cook the food that got us made fun of in elementary school, when we opened our country crock “Tupperware” - the food that reminds us of home. We don't strive to make a better adobo than your mothers, but we do want to share ours with you.

I cannot recommend Tabachoy enough. The chef's tasting menu was perfect with plenty of food, lots of choices, and very affordable. All of the servers were also friendly and helpful.

Good food in a quaint location. The noodle dishes were excellent and the Yam Ice Cream was amazing. Love the value of the chef’s tasting menu.

The highlights of our meal were the short ribs- so delicious! and the chicken wings- perfectly cooked, served with an excellent spicy sauce. The service was wonderful.

With great food, exceptional service, and a pleasant ambiance it’s perfect for a nice date or catching up with a friend. Not great for big parties though

One of Philly's best restaurants. Great flavors, great ambience. BYOB is always a steal. Service is incredible. And always finish with Ube Ice Cream. 10/10

The Valentine's Day preset menu was amazing but the portion size was just not worth $75 per person.

The food was excellent! Great price for the tasting menu to try a little of everything. Great music and excellent attention by the servers.

Great service and flavors. My favorites were the green beans adobo and the bikol express with its perfectly cooked cod. Executive chef was out among the people, interacting with us as well as serving plates and wiping down tables. The pandan cheesecake was perfect - not overly sweet at all. We enjoyed our dinner and will be back.
