The name TABERU comes from the japanese terminology 三大欲求・"Sandaiyokkyu" the "three major desires" which are said to be indispensable and key for our lives, and the main one being 食欲・"shokuyoku" which means to eat.
Our chefs are direct from Tokyo and have created a menu never seen in LA before! Our signature dish being YASAI MAKI which are fresh veggies wrapped in pork, beef and vegan options as well!

the food decorating and plates are awful looking, nothing like their yelp images. Skewers are severely overpriced, and the interior design feels cheap

The unagi rice bowl and kanpachi collar are excellent! Service is on the slower side, though everyone was so nice. We were waiting for any service for a long time and our meal for 5 people took about 3.5 hours. Don’t eat here if you’re in a hurry!

Every time I come here it’s an amazing experience. The food is delicious, but I love the staff. They really make it a special place. I can’t wait to come back!

Reserved a birthday dinner here for 14 people and we were seated outside. The food was decent but service was really slow and all their patio heaters were broken. Luckily they offered to move us indoors but we were over half way done with our meal. Would recommend going with a smaller group and reserving a table indoors for dinner.
