At Taka Marylebone we like to keep things simple. We source the best produce we can find throughout the isles we call home. Then our chefs prepare them with love and care to enable the ingredients to speak for themselves. We are firm believers in the Japanese philosophy of shun.
Which means that food should only be eaten when it is at its best and at the height of its season. This would be impossible without the skills and knowledge of our farmers, foragers, anglers, hunters and herders. The menu has been created to be shared by the whole table, with wine, sake or beer!

Slow, very accommodating. Good food tasty. The courgette were amazing. And the miso black cod was great. The rice dish with wagyu was kinda lacking luster. But overall very good.

Everything was good, not amazing, just good. The wagyu mini sandwich thing was disappointing, so expensive and the meat tasted like rubber, it was not chewable at all. Apart from that, everything was good. For the price though I would like the interior to be a bit nicer.

The food was very good but I’ll say the wagyu Sando was not as good as we had hoped. The portion was also quite small. The wagyu rice bowl barely had any meat in it but cost 20 pounds. The service was super slow as well so I can’t say it was great but overall the other food was pretty good.

We sat in the first floor restaurant. The lack of any soft furnishings meant the noise levels were extremely high making it quite uncomfortable and difficult to have a conversation. The waiters did their best but clearly understaffed. The food was very good.

Excellent presentation of the food. The rice of the sushis however was not great. Some dishes were better than others. The lunch bento box was quite a good deal.

Not my first time there and as usual it was an absolute pleasure, the staff is amazing and the food even better!

Great omakase menu, wagyu bites a bit disappointing though and a mistake on the bill which was corrected without compensation.
