Since opening in 1998 by chef Salvatore Taormina, from Palermo, this cozy and unique Italian restaurant has been a gathering spot for many of friends and family. Chef Sal's Sicilian roots stand out in a variety of his dishes, some including; stuffed Artichoke, roasted Branzino and our famous Hotsy Totsy Shrimp. Complemented with a private room for large groups of up to 30. Bar and patio seating also available!

                                                        Always a great meal. Service is top notch. I don’t think I have ever ordered a meal I didn’t like. This place has always been in the rotation. Great for a special occasion or just a quick mid week dinner.

                                                        The great food at Taormina was soured on my last visit when we asked the bartender on our way out if we could have a small taste of the Figenza fig vodka. My friend loves figs and was curious. The bartender provided the vodka, but told us in a surly tone: "We don't do this." You can't pour two teaspoons in to a glass so that your patron, who just dropped several hundred dollars on a meal, can TASTE something? Afterward we stood politely at the end of the bar waiting to thank her, but she wouldn't even look up at us. I was shocked at her rudeness. This was my second visit to Taormina with friends and the next time, I was planning to bring my husband. Unfortunately that will not be the case now.
