Tartufo Restaurant is an award-winning Italian restaurant and full service bar featuring authentic, unique, Abruzzese and Mediterranean cuisine. We have been serving our guests in Newton Centre, Massachusetts since 2004. Our menu is comprised of made to order Italian cuisine, with all natural ingredients in a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. We welcome you to come, sit back, relax, and enjoy our delicious Italian food, as well as our wide selection of premium wines.

Tartufo was founded by Owner/Manager Anna Mountzuris. Anna explains, “the concept for the restaurant entails an enticing assortment of organic meats, fish, vegetables, freshly baked bread and desserts, all prepared in the Abruzzese and Mediterranean tradition”.

Great food, but not great service. Our waiter was wonderful. Other servers not so pleasant. thru brought out the wrong appetizer and pushed back when we said it wasn’t what we ordered. We knew what we ordered and the waiter corrected them. Another spilled water on my plate while refilling glasses and didn’t offer me a new one. Then there were the hostesses, who sat us near the door which, despite the restaurants efforts was very drafty. When we asked to be moved (other tables were open at this point), we were told no because they had reservations. Well, we did too so I guess our party of four just didn’t rate. This is the second time I have dined here and both times I left with the feeling “how arrogant”. With so many welcoming Italian restaurants in the Boston area, I’m not so sure we will be back.

Always delicious…..Menu & options were perfect! We also had very attentive service. Overall a wonderful dining experience & we will certainly return!!

Delightful place. Soft live saxophone music the night we dined and it was not too loud. Nice Italian menu. Food delicious and portions just right. Staff were attentive, yet not obtrusive and didn't rush us. It's one of our favorites when in the area and why we keep coming back.

Tuesday night Tartufo has a live Saxophonist! The music added to the already lovely ambiance. The food was outstanding and the service was over the top! Enrique was knowledgeable, attentive, patient and so very kind! Thank you for a lovely evening!

It's always a great experience at Tartufo. Lovely menu. We enjoyed the music on a Wednesday evening. Everything about our visit was excellent!

Tartuffo is great. Four of us dined there last night and all commented on the quality of food and service as well as the reasonable ness of the price. We’re lucky to have it so close to home. I enjoyed the raviolli with meatball, sausage and mushrooms in a sweet red sauce. The four of us devoured the desserts which were profiteroles and the limoncello cake. Maybe downed in two minutes! Service was really exceptional even though the place was packed. We had two baskets of their Italian bread with butter. Warm and free.

The restaurant double booked due to a glitch and we got a table 1 h 20 min after our reservation. The food is always excellent as was our waiter. Shame on them for not comping a dessert or something.
