VIOLÍ was initially inspired by DineAmic Hospitality Partners, David Rekhson and Lucas Stoioff's, travels throughout Greece, where they acquired a newfound appreciation for the natural Greek lifestyle. Following their trip, the hospitality group opened LÝRA in West Loop's Fulton Market neighborhood and now brings the Greek Cuisine and world renowned superstar Chef Partner Athinagoras Kostakos to the Western Suburbs.

    Food was very good. Very high noise level between customers and a background bass based rhythm. Appeared to have a large staff who were polite and professional but our waiter appeared to be very busy.

    We had a reservation, but our table was not ready until 15 minutes after. While the food was good, the service was exceptionally slow. We went there during Chicago Restaurant week, not going back anytime soon.

    I started with the 1821 Old Fashion, really great. My wife had the Mykonian Mezz she enjoyed it. We had the Restaurant Week menu. First - Grilled Meatballs and Charred Octopus. Both were great we think the Octopus had a little too much bite on the thicker pieces. Second - the chicken souvlaki and the lamb gyros, both were so flavourful. They mix the lamb with salt table side, some of the lamb was over-salted but generally seasoned well. Third - Portokalopita and sokolatopita. I'm not a desert person but enjoyed these. Portokalopita had nice citrus notes to end the meal. As a fun surprise, they cut the lights and handed out sparklers to everyone in the restaurant. Really fun atmosphere and great food, we will be back.

    I recently had the pleasure of dining at VIOLI and was thoroughly impressed by the cuisine and the exceptional service. The warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a memorable meal from the moment I walked in. The menu featured a fantastic selection of authentic Greek dishes, and everything I tried was bursting with flavor. The Slow-Roasted Lamb Gyros stood out—perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked, a testament to the kitchen's attention to detail. The service was impeccable. Our attentive and knowledgeable server made excellent recommendations, ensuring every aspect of our dining experience was enjoyable. Whether you're a fan of Greek cuisine or trying it for the first time, VIOLI is a must-visit. The outstanding food, top-notch service, and welcoming ambiance make it a gem. I’ll be returning soon.

    Always an enjoyable time at Violi. If you know what to expect, then you won't be surprised and have complaints. It's a very loud venue, making it difficult to talk with your friends. It's usually crowded and tight quarters with others next to you. You need to make a reservation if you want to sit. That being said, if you know this is the case then you know what you're getting into when you go here. It's great if you're looking for a lively atmosphere with loud DJ music playing good vibes. The sparkelers that they pass out to everyone each night is always a lot of fun. So it's a fun place to enjoy music, drinks and food in an upscale atmospher.

    Front desk service was impecciable. Our waiter was good, seemed in a hurry each time at the table. We ordered Moussaka, Patischio, Chicken Souvalki. So disappointed in the Patischio, large rigatoni type pasta in a very runny sauce. Had no structure to it even though it was described as deconstructed, it was pasta immersed in a runny sauce. The Moussaka and Chicken Souvalki were good..
