Tavolo Wine Bar & Tuscan Grille specializes in authentic and innovative Italian cuisine along with grilled steaks, seafood and hand crafted desserts. With an amazing team of Chefs and energetic onsite owners, Tavolo is well known for the quality of its classic Italian dishes as well as creative and exciting specials. All of our food is made from scratch using on the freshest ingredients. Local seafood is one of our specialties with fresh Swordfish, Halibut, Salmon, Scallops and a raw bar just some of the highlights. We have an experienced in house butcher serving up bone in ribeye, veal chops, tomahawk cuts and much more.
Tavolo has received a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019. Our extensive wine and craft beer list offers an unprecedented line up of craft beers and fine wines catering to all customers. The atmosphere is stylish yet casual and of course family friendly.

At Tavolo, you will work directly with one of the owners, Sherri who will work with you to customize your event to meet your individual needs and desires. We offer an array of room setups and accommodations and menus that can be customized to your specific event and tastes. We have enclosed private rooms that can seat from 10 - 100 guests. All rooms have AV equipment access and availability. There are never any room charge rental fees at Tavolo and never a minimum spend. No hassles no complications!

Our lunch today was very nice. The food was tasty although the ravioli dish was smaller than expected. The veal parm sandwich and the pasta carbonara were great sizes. The wine menu is amazing. Overall we enjoyed our meal and the service was also great. We’ll be back soon!

Third new years eve here at the bar. We love the bartenders. Great drinks, friendly and engaging. Awesome food.

We were able to snag a last-minute reservations for New Year's Eve, 5:30 p.m., which worked out great for us. Start to finish, we were there less than 45 minutes. It was a bit fast for service, but everything was very good. It would have been great, if we were encouraged to linger a bit, but I get it, they want to turn over as many tables as possible on such a busy night. The staff was very accommodating and attentive.

Horrible experience. Me and my family was seated for over an hour and 45 minutes before our food came to our terrible. Yes, I was fully prepared to have a wait due to it being christmas, but when 3 tables come in after you & get their food between 15 & 20 minutes, it's very ridiculous that me and my family waited over an hour and 45 minutes. Not only that, our waiter walked past our table over 10x (I counted) throughout that hour and 45minutes and didn't say a single word to us, not an update, not an apology for the wait, nothing at all. Once our food arrived, it was mediocre to say the least. The stuffed "shrimp" were so tiny that it was more stuffing then shrimp. The rice was bland, the seafood plate my father ordered barely had seafood. And it saddened me because I absolutely LOVE the location in smithfield. I will just stick to the location in smithfield going forward.

Let me start off by saying the 3 stars doesn't reflect on the food because if that's all we were rating it would have been 5 stars. The fact that we had the most unattentive waiter in the world who should have never gotten a busy Christmas day shift and one of the main reasons the reservations were seated past their times. Not sure if they were new but definitely need some training. The food and ambiance were very good. Will come back in a different section. I have never spent 3.5 hours at a restaurant with a table of 3 the food was delivered by other waitresses, never took a drink order and our desserts were also delivered by other waitresses.

The servers, kitchen, managers, hosts all take this important holiday away from their families to work and try to give everyone a good meal and experience and we are happy that some of the guests truley appreciate what being open on Christmas Day means. I'm grateful for your understanding and all the staff appreciate hearing kind words like this especially after working so hard to make the day for everyone.

I don't think this place was prepared to handle Christmas Day. The hostess was awful and had a bad attitude, We arrived at 2:44pm for our 3pm reservation, at 3:15pm we inquired how things were going and we told we had to wait for a 2 seater to become available cause bigger parties got the bigger tables so finally at 3:35pm we finally got a seat but the hostess came over to us and said we have seat now for you if you still want it? Like I'm here, why would I not want it ? It's just strange .. the waitress we had was nice but could barely get refills on the drinks. She took our order but never brought out any food, and she never even came by to ask how it was. The bread was stale .. the meal was good, not great. I can't see us returning

Christmas day, Excellent job by all the staff thank you all. Our waitress which was outstanding mentioned there was one bartender unbelievable job by her for the amount of people I the restaurant

When you run out of a menu/ special menu item at 230 pm on a holiday it's never good. Got the Steak Frites med rare. Steak was raw one side and med well the other. Sauce claiming to be a Cognac and peppercorn cream sauce was flavorless. Fries had zero truffle flavor. Zero. Charcuterie board was obviously done well ahead of time. Had that fridge flavor like it was never wrapped. I've been in this industry for almost 40 yrs. I get the fact the waitstaff was overloaded, place was packed. They did a good job with what they had to work with but when you run out of a special not even halfway through a day (filet is always a big seller holidays) and you can't cook a steak correctly you need to dial back the menu a bit.
