Taxman CityWay is a gastropub and beer garden located in an 1850s renovated livery building, right in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. This family friendly gastropub features three full service bars offering 20 rotating Taxman beers, local ciders and a wide variety of wine and spirits, as well as a pet-friendly outdoor patio. The seasonal menu highlights local and regional farmers and is anchored by a wide variety of local beef burgers, steaks, housemade pretzels, seasonal sandwiches, Belgian-style French fries (commonly referred to as “frites”) and Belgian-style Liege waffles.

Situated directly next door to Gainbridge Fieldhouse and several blocks from Lucas Oil Stadium, Taxman CityWay offers one of the largest patios in downtown Indianapolis and has a stage featuring live music throughout the spring, summer and fall. A second floor private event space features the lofted ceilings, a modern fireplace, private bar and old-world charm.

We went here before the Pacer game. It is so close to the Fieldhouse! The food was phenomenal and so was the service. We have been to another Taxman and will not hesitate to go to any in the future. So good!

By Gain bridge Fieldhouse, nice open atmosphere with fireplace and warm vibes. The menu although smaller, had something for everyone. Caesar salad was delicious with chicken, loved the sauce with the chicken and waffles, and sauce with the pretzels. Our waitress was kind and gave us time to order. We were also running late for our reservations and they worked with us to make sure we had a table.

This was our first time at Taxman and I can say we were extremely happy that we ate there for dinner. The waiter was extremely friendly and gave us ideas on what to drink and what the fav dinner was entrees were. Definitely we be coming back here for dinner in the future

Happy Hour did not disappoint! We had an employee/retiree gathering. This was the perfect spot to connect, enjoy some great beer, good food, and outstanding service. Thanks to the whole team at Taxman CityWay!

Food today was terrible. Cornbread was ice cold, hard as a brick, dry, nasty. Rib’s dry, nasty. Drink terrible. Coleslaw gross. I didn’t even eat it. Told the server it was terrible he said oh- sorry. That’s it. Had to go home and fix food.

I started with the Auditor which was a not-too-spicy Rye Old Fashioned. Superb! We had the candied wagyu bacon appetizer which was decadent. I followed up with a Caesar salad, complete with anchovies. I was also very pleased with the Sazerac I ordered, it was maybe even better than the Old Fashioned. The Sea Bass was outstanding, and it came with possibly the best carrots I have ever tasted; I wish I knew how they doctored them. The fish came on a bed of risotto as well, with a side of brussel sprouts. Everything was very good, 100% would recommend.

Excellent service from Morgan; she was professional, yet fun and very knowledgeable. Food was exceptional, this was my 2nd visit and plan on coming back!
