The food was much better than the ambience or service. We enjoyed all of the dishes we tried from chef Pyet Despain. Our server often left us confused, waiting too long, and then rushed us out when we were trying to pay the bill. The server was memorably bad and it really took away from the experience of the night.

They rotate new chefs and cuisine here every few months. We eat here a lot before the theater. Usually not disappointed

We have eaten with each chef who has been featured at Abernethy’s. This experience was by far the best. Great food, and wonderful education on Native American cuisine. Thank you.

We went to Abernathy for lunch before a 1 pm show at the Ahmanson. The restaurant was not crowded, but still the service was slow and the restaurant ran out of multiple items on the menu, which was unfortunate because the menu was fairly limited to begin with.

Original flavors among the food and beverage offerings with a strong indigenous food influence. The service is exceptional. Ask for Nadia and get Jason to talk about his mixology.

We love eating here before a performance. Changing chefs is always a fun experience. Love that the location is on the pavilion. Our server was outstanding.

The food was good. The portions were tiny. The service was okay. There have been better chefs at Abernethy's in the past - they rotate chefs every few months or so.

First time at this restaurant. The best thing is the location and the service which was excellent. Everything else is just not up to high standard. Food was mediocre and not tasty at all.

We ate lunch on the patio in advance of a matinee performance at the Ahmanson. Very comfortable. Never felt rushed. Very enjoyable.

Gorgeous and wonderful, except for how long it took to get our entrees. We arrived at 6:15 and had to scarf down our food at 7:35 in order to make the 8:00 curtain. :(
