                                        We had such a wonderful time! The service was AMAZING!!!! We enjoyed our breakfast in a fun location. Since we are both teachers, we enjoyed the ambience. My friend had been in the building when it was still a school. So she got to reminisce while celebrating her birthday. Our server even brought her a birthday chocolate mousse with a candle to celebrate!!! So fun! I plan to be back later this month. Thank you!!!

                                        What a hidden gem in the city! This cool restaurant is in the old Emily Griffith Opportunity School that was built in the early 1900's. It's been converted into a hotel called Slate. I love the ambience and the meshing of old and new. I can still see remnants of the old school but with a modern vibe now. The food was awesome, and our wait staff was so friendly. Love this place! We'll be back.

                                        Wonderful! Went for restaurant week and everything was amazing! Service was great as usual! We stayed overnight at the Slate hotel and had breakfast the next morning! YUMMY! WONDERFUL restaurant and hotel!

                                        Not a lot of food choices and two of the three entrees were fairly bland. Cute idea for a theme but the server seemed to be a little out of it and overall it was just ok.
