Located in the heart of Over-the-Rhine, Teak OTR brings a rich history of award-winning Thai cuisine and sushi from its early days in Cincinnati’s Mt. Adams neighborhood. Teak is a beloved OTR gem located across from Washington Park within walking distance of FC Cincinnati games and venues such as Music Hall. Diners can choose to sit in the bar area or contemporary dining room. Outside seating is available during warm weather.
Teak OTR blends elegance and comfort with incredible food and superior service. The extensive menu includes a range of salads and appetizers, 11 house specialties, 4 fried rice options, 3 noodle dishes including the popular pad Thai and lad na, 5 stir fry varieties and 10 different curry dishes. Teak also boasts over 7 dozen sushi choices.

I have heard so many great things about Teak and we decided to try it on NYE which we were grateful to find they had a last minute table for dinner so my husband and I headed to the OTR location for a late dinner. The place was very busy which was a good sign. We did wait about 10 mins to be seated which was not a huge deal other than we had to wait in a very tight space right at the front door while it was cold and rainy outside which made it awkward and uncomfortable. When we finally got seated we attempted to ask for recommendations but our server was not able to help much with them so we picked out a variety of options from (2) sushi rolls, Jungle Noodles and crab puffs. All the food came out in a responsible amount of time which was very nice. We did LOVE the appetizer however everything else was a bit underwhelming although all the food seemed very fresh. We LOVE sushi and Thai food and have eaten it all over the world so we may be a bit pickier than the average people. This was simply just not that great. Then for the remainder of the evening we were both bloated overall just not digesting the food well. Maybe we just picked the wrong dishes but I am not sure I would go back again to try another meal.

Good location close to park, very friendly staff, good menu choice, a bit too loud and chaotic. The food quality seemed OK, after I got back home with digestion issues and bloating. I suspect heavy usage of MSG (monosodium glutamate) to enhance taste... That's not how my family makes Asian dishes, with combination of fresh and dried spices, herbs and veggies. It was rather disappointing, as I had high hopes for this place.

Our first visit to Teak OTR and it did not disappoint. Reserved table was ready upon arrival. Food was very good and the portions were generous. Service was very efficient and friendly. We selected Teak in keeping with our New Year's Eve tradition of dining on Asian cuisine. Teak did not disappoint. Restaurant is located on Cincinnati's free trolley service which made getting to and from our downtown hotel very convenient. Great experience and would highly recommend.

The food was delicious, especially the Chicken Thai Spicy, and the sushi rolls. Our server was great, friendly, suggesting dishes, attentive but not intrusive.

The staff was friendly and attentive. We had reservations for standard dining but decided to sit at the bar instead. The dining area is pretty tight. The drinks were pretty good and the food was good as well. I was surprised at how affordable the menu was. I would definitely visit here again to try something different.

Out party had reservations at 6pm. We arrived at 6:02pm and had to wait 35 mins for a table. Another couple had to wait as well. Waitress and food was good but don’t trust them with reservations
