                                                                                                  I was ok with the mandatory 20% service charge until we ate here. That charge has created a sense of indifference between server, kitchen staff and the customer. If you have to earn the tip, the experience would be different. The food was awful and the service was equally bad. It took over an hour for our meals to come and it was very disappointing. We ordered two lobster carbonara - the lobster was so overcooked it was tough to the point it was not edible. The pasta was luke warm at best and so overcooked it could not be separated. We did tell the waiter the lobster was tough and he took 50% off the cost of one of the carbonara’s but not once did the manager come out and check on us or offer an apology. The Tuscan chicken was overcooked and not good and the Paella was sub par. Our waiter was slow, not friendly until we took the time to be friendly to him. It took forever to get a drink and the staff just didn’t pay attention. That’s what happens when you take 20% from the customer and leave no reason for the staff to be friendly or for the kitchen to turn out good food. Be warned. This was not a good experience and was particularly unfortunate because this was my choice of restaurant for the last meal before my family heads home to England on Monday. I’d rather have gone to Chili’s. We will not return. Ever.

I went with my mom, grandmother and grandfather (who uses a walker) and he was also very happy. The only thing that we were unaware of was the walk or tram ride necessary to get to the restaurant. They offer a tram that comes every 15 minutes. Pay to park only on the pier but it's reasonable ($2.50 per hour for the first 4 hours then it slightly increases). Food was phenomenal, stunning view and great service! 20% gratuity automatically included on all checks because they do a share system among the staff.

                                                                                                  I understand a holiday weekend being super busy and most likely short staffed. They were out of roughly 8 items on the menu including all steak options. Ok super busy, again I get it. We ordered drinks. One of our drinks had literal rotting basil in it. We ordered apps and full meals. Everything came at once. Ok probably an oversight. No big deal. The app plates sat on our table for 40 Minutes empty. Zero server came to our table to ask for additional drinks or how the food was. Soup had raw potatoes in it. Finally the hostess or front of house manager came and cleared the plates apologizing. I love that servers get paid better at teak and receive benefits buy I’m wondering if this is the reason for such awful service. Our server did not care at all about the experience which I believe is teaks thing, view and service.

                                                                                                  Teak is a very nice restaurant located at the very end of St.Petersburgs beautiful public pier. The food menu has a selection of some nice items to choose from. The entries we chose were very tasty. We really enjoyed our time there and will return.

                                                                                                  Me and my boyfriend went to celebrate New Year’s Eve and we love it.. but I was not expecting the additional 20% service fee to dine, apart from the tip will left the waiter. Also, I do wish they had offered more items on the Holiday Menu.. But, overall I love their food, the waiter was very attentive and had an amazing time and night. Great vibes and excellent for date night.

                                                                                                  I am never one to complain as I work in hospitality as well. It’s an extremely tough industry to be in, constantly busy and every one is just trying to do their best. That’s is exactly what I kept reminding myself throughout the dinner. First the host was rude when my friends and I were extremely nice and understanding as it was busy and NYE. The drinks and the table were double the price at the table than the bar where we got our first drink. The entree I wanted to get was not longer available… not big deal tired to order something else, that was not available either so I finally resorted to the chicken, it was extremely dry with no flavor, asked for salt and pepper to help the taste. It was awful. I was too scared to send it back because I hate confrontation and it wasn’t the waiters fault but all I ate was the arugula off the plate. Still paid for it though after barely eating it. I’m on the way to McDonald for dinner now.
