The theatre of food at Teatro is synonymous with a Italian marketplace. From delicious selection of Antipasti to Traditional Italian wood-fired pizza, and amazing Pasta dishes Teatro caters for all guests. Whether a quick dinner before a show at the arts centre, a wine or cocktail with the river view or a lunch before heading to the art gallery or the gardens of our beautiful city.
A fresh seasonal produce driven menu inspires our ever-changing Italian cuisine with plenty of vegetarian and Gluten Free options. The theatre itself remains constant, but the food and the menu are constantly evolving. DO NOT GO HERE !!!! for Valentine’s Day I spent 165$ . 15 on service I believe. 36 $ on the worst “ king prawn entree “ 52 on a seafood pasta and 48 on a baby snapper 550 grams but 300 of it had to be the head . Any Italian would be disgusted

Great spot for a pre-theatre bite. We shared a charcuterie plate and some arancini balls and had enough to satisfy two older women.

Better than hoped. Transitional rustic Italian in riverside spot. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. A very authentic Italian dining experience.

I am usually underwhelmed by restaurants along the Yarra. Teatro was the exception. Solid food and service.

Very friendly and quick service prior to theatre. Menu and food were an interesting offering and the Aperol spritz were great.

Food was of reasonable quality but greatly overpriced. The restaurant was particularly well located for attendance at a show at Gamer Hall.

Nothing special for what we paid, small serves of pasta and very noisy. On the up side Staff were friendly and nice location if you get to sit in the right table otherwise you don’t see the river view.

Lovely venue, great staff and service, good quality food. Only disappointing aspect was no pizzas available on the dinner menu. This was not stated on their website.
