temper City is hidden away, moments from Bank, Moorgate and Liverpool Street Stations, serving the best steak in the Square Mile. Home to the biggest smoker in the temper family, this is also the place you’ll find our biggest cuts of steak from rare-breed English cattle, aged and butchered in-house, then cooked over fire right in front of the dining counter. The menu also features tacos, smoked meats, house-made parathas and more, alongside a punchy wine list and choice of tequila and mezcal-focused cocktails available both in the restaurant and out on the terrace.

Abbiamo cenato molto bene , carne ottima i condimenti forse troppo speziati per palati italiani ma per il classico tutto perfetto , i camerieri erano simpatici e il locale molto bello

Great service and wonderful wine but the so called star of the show was a real disappointment, £55 for a very poorly cooked ribeye is shocking. I could have done much better buying a £15 ribeye from The Ginger Pig and cooking it at home myself. No comparison to Goodmans & Hawksmoor.

The food was amazing, the wine was delicious. The service was good but at times being constantly asked by different waiters if we were okay was a touch too much.

Another fantastic experience at Temper yesterday with superb food and attentive service from Attila and his team. Temper has become my go-to for lunch in the City. I like to sit at the counter to see the theatre of food being prepared and interact with the chefs. Their systems are also really slick remembering previous orders and preferences which can really help when deciding what to have, which for me usually includes pork rib, Lamb Carnitas, 700g Ribeye, 300g Picanha, Grilled Hispi Cabbage, Raclette Truffle Fries, Beef Fat Béarnaise all of which are excellent and washed down with Malbec, what’s not to love!

A superb, long, entertaining and absolutely delicious lunch. Temper City was busy, a tremendous vibe and everyone was on great form. Chris on the grill serving up a superb 650 gram ribeye...stunning; Atilla knew we wanted those sensational Pork Bites (good work, thank you), phenomenal stuff and Freddy made us his special mocktail. Indeed, the whole team was electric. The burnt squash salad is so unctuous - and with those gorgeous truffle chips on the side... it was a perfect lunch. It never gets old: meat cooked over a raging fire...these are the fundamentals of human culinary desires and needs. To eat at Temper is to satisfy that ancient urge. Thanks Team. Always a pleasure.
