   First time visiting and really impressed. We've tried a lot of places for Sunday lunch and this is up there with the best. It's not cheap but lovely quality food. Starters were served quickly, the burrata was a lovely fresh dish and the meatball was moist and full of flavour. Mains were excellent, the beef was particularly good. Only slight criticism is that more gravy should be provided when meals are served.

   Small menu but dishes executed really well. Burrata was full of flavour and beef on the Sunday lunch was exceptional. Roast potatoes could be more fluffy and gently crispy, they felt deep fried. But overall the service and quality of food was well worth the visit

   Delicious food, one of the best meals we’ve eaten in a long time. We will definitely come back and recommend to friends.

   We recently dined Terra Mare for my mum’s birthday and, unfortunately, our experience was a bit of a letdown. While the food itself was good, the service was just okay. Our waiter really did try his best, but there were several issues throughout. We had to wait to be seated, which was fine, but we were told our table was being prepared—only to be seated in what felt like a last-minute setup in the bar area rather than the main restaurant. This was disappointing, especially for a special occasion, and the location near the main door made it quite cold due to constant foot traffic. Our coffee arrived cold, and we had to ask multiple times for different things, which made us feel like an afterthought rather than valued guests. The staff seemed rushed, and for the price of the dining experience, we expected much better service. Having visited Silures before in Roath, and received outstanding service, this visit fell short of expectations. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

   Dear Laura, Thank you for your feedback. I’m disappointed to read that you feel the service was underwhelming. I will point out however that you arrived early for your reservation, hence why we seated you in the bar prior to moving you through to your table. You were then seated in the restaurant, along with other diners (not in the bar). I’m sorry that you needed to chase up orders - the fact that we were very busy doesn’t justify delays.    Excellent food, presented well, and good service. The restaurant was really busy when we went but our table still felt private. Really lovely meal and nice atmosphere.

   A group of 10 visited yesterday. The food was delicious. I had the ox cheek Ragu, the flavours were outstanding. Service was brilliant. Right amount of time between each course. I would highly recommend

    Dined from the a la carte menu, some lovely choices and we both enjoyed what we ordered very much. We were celebrating x2 February birthdays and were surprised with a card and little cake from the restaurant, nice touches very appreciated! Service was great and the ambience is lovely. It’s definitely got that fine dining feel, I knocked it down slightly just on the fact that I did find some things on the menu very expensive, though I will repeat that our food was lovely. Would visit again and try the 5 and 7 course menus, those sounded great and good value too! A 4.5 for me overall.
