At Thompson’s Tex-Ken Ranch Steakhouse, we are deeply committed to the true farm-to-table experience. All of our beef is locally raised at the Tex-Ken Ranch in Bluff Dale, Texas, where we take great pride in ensuring that our cattle are free from hormones and antibiotics, delivering the highest quality meat both nutritionally and ethically. They are then processed in-house at our state-inspected facility, Thompson’s Custom Meats in Dublin, Texas. Steaks are cooked over a wood burning grill using Hardwood also sourced from the Tex-Ken Ranch. From our ranch to the table, we guarantee a dining experience that celebrates the best of local and sustainable farming.

                                                        The decor was old west and very cool. We were seated shortly after checking in for our reservation. The server greeted us promptly. She got our orders but there was Confusion with the wait staff. One in our party of six didn't get their meal until everyone else was close to done. She also ordered corn and it never came. Each time something came from the kitchen they were stopping at the table next to us trying to serve them our meals. I even said once "it belongs over here"....the food was good but like other reviews have said the service was not that of a nice steak house. Hopefully that gets better because the steaks were good. Maybe numbering the table or some kind of system since our server didn't bring out the food it was other workers that didn't take our orders. We will try them again. The crab tots were excellent and the steak had a smoke on them that was delicious.

                                                        Food is great, atmosphere is great. Staff could use a little more training. I think when you’re paying that much and the food is that great you expect excellent service to compliment it and make the experience even better.

                                                        We ordered the petite sirloins. Both cooked to perfection and a wonderful flavor. Salad comes with your entree and it was amazing. We then ordered a 1 lb. loaded baked potato! 1 lb! That thing was huge and cooked all the way through and served hot. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. Don’t forget to make reservations!

                                                        Outstanding! We had filet and ribeye and they were perfect, tender and flavorful. Atmosphere was very well designed and has a uniqueness. Overall, our entire party enjoyed the evening
