Thames Landing brings you modern New England fare—centered around seafood, local meat, and seasonal vegetables—in an airy, bright dining room and on our expansive garden patio.

Menu includes appetizers like salt cod croquettes, mussels and deviled eggs, a variety of salads and entrees that range from lobster rolls and smashed burgers to lobster dinners and NY strip steaks.

A private dining room remains in place and a cozy expanded outdoor seating area is now available.

We arrived and waited 5+ minutes before anyone said anything to us. We were sat about another 5 minutes after, given the lunch menus instead of the dinner menus. It took another 10 minutes before anyone came to ask us for drinks. You get the picture, service continued like this throughout our meal. I would acknowledge they were short handed but the personalities made it difficult to feel sympathy. Had the beef stew, it was ok but the roll was burned. Salmon was rare, I think MR is fine. However no one checked back with us or asked if we wanted rare salmon.cheeseburger was $24, nothing special. Had calamari, mostly tentacles, not many of the circles. Overall, it was a mistake and not recommended…

Had a private room for our party of nine. Great food, gluten free options, and wonderful service. Will be dining again.

We had a great experience. We ate in the outdoor pods/ igloo and it was fun. They were warm and charming. Our waiter Drew was great. The food was excellent and reasonably priced for downtown Portland.

This was our first meal at Thames Landing. Customer Service was excellent. My request for “rare” broiled salmon was granted perfectly. I think the ambience needs work. Some attention to the table environment would help..place mats, linens, small candles..all would soften the cement floor/floor to ceiling glass surround. The outdoor domes look interesting. We might try one of those next time. We’ll be back and look forward to the rough edges smoothing out.

Thames Landing was close to our hotel and have it a shot. We were very happy with the food- I had the smash burger which was delicious and my wife had the pasta with lobster and she said it was perfect. Service was on point- very nice and was attentive. The ambience could be a bit better/ the lighting was a shade too light in my opinion but overall was a great experience and we would go back.

The waitress did the basic job. We had several waitresses in Portland who were exuberant and friendly. This young woman did the basic job. No real greeting, no small talk just to the point. My salad with fish was so greasy I could not eat it. Our waitress did not come back to check on our food.

The menu is bleak, service was amateur, food was terrible to tolerable depending on what we all ate. We even sent one dish back.
