I have been to this restaurant four times. In the past the food and the service was very very good. This time both were lacking. The waiter was in way over his head and needed more help. Errors in taking our orders as well as really, really slow service. The hummus taramosalta and potato spread. We’re really off. Very dry. Hummus had really weird spices. This time a very offputting brown color. Our salmon was cooked correctly. Very disappointing. Don’t know if I’ll go back

So glad my wife and I gave Thassos a second chance. Went about 9 months ago and neither one of us liked our entrees and we kind of wrote this place off. However Phil Vittel's review and several friends highly recommended it so we revisited. We really enjoyed ourselves! Definitely authentic Greek cuisine. I had the Phil Vittel recommended lamb chop-great find! Really delicious. My wife had the lake whitefish and she really enjoyed it. Our server recommended a few red wines and let us taste them...nice touch. We chose one of them and savored it. Lots of good energy in the restaurant on a Friday evening: couples, families and one large family gathering, all handled expertly. Our server let us leisurely enjoy our salad, never rushing us and our entrees. We were surprised to see that we were there for about 2 hours and 15 minutes. Very relaxing and great food! Will definitely be going back again.

We shared the sea bass and a Greek salad. Both were very good. Our friends had a gyros plate and a spanakopita and both liked their meal. The wine list was very detailed and we shared two desserts, the rice pudding and the custard phyllo dessert. Both were excellent

Our first visit. Highly recommended by a friend. Seated at a very nice booth just off the edge of a long table seating at least 20 yelling and screaming people celebrating an adult birthday. We and the other poor people seated at the other regular tables could not even hear the waitress speaking. Ruined everyone’s evening except the party guests.We blame the restaurant who should have put that party in a separate room. They of course deserve to have a good time. Saganaki was great. Lamb with artichokes was dry. Beautiful place. Waitress did her best. Might consider going back if my hearing improves, and would try seafood in a quieter spot.

Been here several times and believe this is the best Greek Restaurant in the Chicago Land Area. We love Greek Restaurants. For starters - the Calamari and the Octopus are always fresh, tender and prepared perfectly. We always get the lamb chops and they are always consistent and tender. The Greek specials, especially the fish are always fresh and seasoned authentically. Owners Nick and Natasha are conscientious and always striving to make your visit exceed expectations.

Get there early by 6:30 pm crowded and noisy. Saw the bread given to others was treated differently. Wish we had that. Overall, everything else good.
