Overall, the food was very good. For a tasting menu, we expected it to be a little more hands and better-paced in terms of service. The primary server was not very present and the dishes were dropped at the table with very little formality of explanation making it a bit awkward. No menu was left at the table so it was difficult to follow. The sommelier was excellent. He was very attentive and provided a wonderful education and summary of the pairing. For a chef's tasting menu at $195pp, our expectation is that the meal is an experience. This one felt incomplete. We were also seated at the table in front of the bar, so this might have had an impact in the service. Either way, the food was good enough and creative enough to want to try again, but if service misses the mark on round 2, we will probably not return. Lastly, as a group ordering the tasting menu, the food should come out individually portioned rather than relying on the table to divide the dishes. Some are easier than others. I will end this with a bit of praise....Jose's Minibar Tasting Menu was phenomenal on all accounts---definitely multiple levels up from the Bazaar experience we had last night, so hopefully that was a one off.

We had a great dining experience at the Bazaar by Jose Andres. The food was delicious worth every penny and the service was awesome shout out to William.

Truly enjoyed a late lunch, prix fixe menu at Bazaar DC in the Waldorf Astoria. The interior of the hotel was decked out in its Cherry Blossom finest celebrating the first weekend of the Cherry Blossom Festival. The food in each of the four courses was unique, attractive and delicious. Definitely worth a visit!

Lets start with the food. It was very mixed. The octopus was great the salmon very good. But most other dishes were not. The crab salad was expensive and nit very flavorful and lacked crab. The new potato torta was a molecular gastronomy failure. Flavor and texture were awful. Steak tartare was ok. The kitchen is very rigid and nit accommodating at all. My wife has a cilantro allergy and they said they can not remove cilantro just dont order certain items. Smoke trout roe came on top of crab salad and when we asked to leave off it was i am not sure we can do that. Service was poor. We had to wave arms to get attention as we were largely ignored for most of meal. I would not return to an expensive restaurant with poor service and disappointing food.
