Drawing inspiration from this iconic location, which first opened in 1899 and served as DC’s General Post Office until 1914, The Bazaar is a multi-level destination reinvented with avant-garde and Americana-inspired decor.

    Venue is open and beautiful in the Astoria lobby upstairs and you can hear! Food portions were so small and so expensive that the value was just not there. Micro portions. We were barely finished with one or two tapas when the waitress almost grabbed the plate, twice, over my shoulder no less, before we were finished. Too rushed. They appear overstaffed while waiting around for diners to finish. Wont be back anytime soon.

    A lovely pre-theatre dinner. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We opted for à la carte and shared six dishes between the two of us.

    Eating at Bazaar was a wonderful experience. From the delicious food and elegant atmosphere to the meticulous service, our dinner was spot on. They accommodated my son’s food allergies without sacrificing the delicious flavors. The tasting menu was paired with amazingly unique wines from all over the world. We left completely satisfied. Definitely coming back on our next visit to DC.

    This was an amazing experience from start to finish. We chose the classic tasting menu and were delighted. Everything was delicious even dishes we were slightly skeptical about. Who knew octopus could taste that good? Our only complaint is how we were seated; we were on a bench with very little room between us and a couple on each side. There was no way for a private conversation even though the noise level was overall low. This was a wonderful treat for us!
