The Birdcage Restaurant and Bar drew inspiration from its leafy surroundings, in particular the beautiful Fig Tree that dominates the Kingsway Restaurant Precinct. This glorious tree plays host to many species of colourful birds and it is this vibrancy that embodies the soul of all we do and are at The Birdcage. Life is always improved with a little fun and flamboyance. So, with this in mind we want your time dining with us to be both enjoyable but more so, memorable. I have been here many times and often order the same meal . Having not been for a year as I have moved away I was disappointed with the smaller serving size of the lamb salad The cocktail I ordered was mostly juice with no alcohol Staff were lovely as usual

We dined at The Birdcage for Father’s Day. I had wanted to book for breakfast but there were no available tables until 11.15. This turned out to be a blessing because we could then choose from either the All Day Breakfast or Lunch menus. We brought a child along and his review was ‘This is the best chicken I’ve ever had.’ He’d ordered the kids chicken schnitzel. I’m a loyal Ricotta Pankcakes customer but this time went with a Mezze Plate which was amazing but could have been better with a little tzatziki. You can’t have everything. It was a little noisy but that’s to be expected on a day like Father’s Day. The presentation of the meals and the drinks is what keeps you coming back. That and the addition of Butter Boy cookies which I bought four of to take home. Snickerdoodle with Biscoff. Yum. Not a fan of the 10% surcharge. Not a fan at all. This was not a nice welcome sign when we arrived and unfortunately took a lot of our initial Father’s Day conversation topic on arrival. 10% is bit of a hike but what do you do once you’re there and you’ve had to coordinate 8 people to get there. Thank you to The Birdcage for Sunday Brunch. See you soon.

There was 4 adults and 3 kids and we all enjoyed our meals very much. The service was excellent.

Always greeted with a smile. Enjoy the ambience and like the tables near the large windows to have a nice outlook. Food choices are good and have always enjoyed the meals we've had.

It was a very busy rainy morning and we had booked with a pram. The staff were very accommodating and ensured that we were comfortable. We had a last minute add on and they found us an appropriate table as soon as was possible. We were grateful
