This was the first time we have been here for lunch, even though we have dined here in the evening several times. Staff as fab as ever, food amazing, wine & prosecco never let's us down.

Lunch was fine . Soup was cauliflower and cheese which was rather bland . Goats cheese and beetroot sandwich was good . Filling was really nice but bread was a bit tough

On this visit we celebrated a family birthday, and it was first class. The staff are very attentive and the food is always amazing. The restaurant has a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely recommend a visit if you haven’t already!

Food was fantastic. Everything we had was excellent and presented well. Atmosphere was cosy and welcoming. Staff were friendly and helpful especially when dealing with food intolerances. Will definitely be back.

We had booked this as an “affordable “ place to eat on New Year’s Eve. No mention of a set menu when booking and I even rang to check. It was my treat for my partner and his wee boy and we booked early so we could get the wee guy back for 7.30. When we arrived and were told it was 85 pounds for 5 courses each I was mortified as we had been out for lunch and had no interest in 5 courses. It’s also out of our budget massively !!! We should have been told this when booking from open table and another table actually walked out as also didn’t know. I mean the food was fine but this is ridiculous that it wasn’t explained. The wee guy enjoyed his 10 pound 3 course kids meal. When the bill came they even charged us extra for a steak sauce and an adults dessert - but this was corrected. I did not make a fuss as it was a special birthday but the meal ended up lasting nearly 3 hours Really disappointed and I didn’t really enjoy the experience due to the menu being forced on us.

Completely lived up to expectations. We took a long time checking reviews for a nice place to eat in Ayr. The Bistro had great reviews and a lovely menu selection. We were not disappointed!! Beautiful food and a lovely discreet restaurant. Will definitely return next time we are in Ayrshire.
