Warm, welcoming, intimate and steps away from the Jackson Hole Town Square, The Bistro is the newest concept from restaurateurs Gavin Fine and Roger Freedman (Fine Dining Restaurant Group). Drawing on inspiration from Parisian style neighborhood brasseries, The Bistro presents modern, comfortable European dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner, all inside The Cloudveil hotel.     Great food and excellent service. The biggest issue we had was the smoke coming from the kitchen. It got so bad that they had to open a door to ventilate the restaurant. The kitchen has windows so you can see in and it was smoky the whole time. I think they need to address the ventilation issue as many others were noticing it too. Otherwise this was a very nice experience and is a great addition to the Jackson restaurant scene.

    The food was overall very vgood. The chicken and trout were the best. The oysters not so good. Service was mediocre but in part due to the awkward take location in the lobby of the hotel next door. The hotel table was the worst part of the experience as it was separated from the restaurant and had random folks standing around. I've eaten here many times and it was great, but i highly recommend the restaurant do away with the cloudveil lobby tables. The extra revenue can't be worth the poor experiences for a place seeking elevated status.

    Had high hopes, though service was excellent, food was just ok but not ok enough to rate higher than 3. Sat at a quiet table on stools, virtually at a hotel lobby … would have been forgivable if the food was again, more than just ok.

    We made a reservation on Valentines Day for 7:45 and we were not greeted until about 8:10/8:15 when we had to flag down a different server. We ordered the escargot and the flambée for appetizers and it was amazing! The mussels were delightful but the short rib was very basic and bland. By the end of the dinner we were ready to go and the manager came by and asked how things were, we didn’t care to complain about the service because the food was so good but he felt that something was off and took care of our meal for us. This was so generous and for sure made for a great Valentine’s Day dinner. I would for sure go back for some appetizers and cocktails or wine!
