The Black horse is a good old country pub. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is excellent and very good value for money. I had the Cajun chicken burger with great, crispy fries and some very good homemade slaw. My wife had the Black Horse burger, we were both very pleased with the whole experience and we’ll be visiting again soon.

Great food, great people, great pub! Staying on nearby campsite and remembered the pub from our last visit. It didn't disappoint. Staff are super friendly and the food is to a very high standard, we had another lovely visit and will be back again!

As ever, the Steak Night lived up to expectations. Delicious, well cooked & served. Attentive waitress. Always a pleasure to go to the Black Horse.

Although we were the only table filled at 1pm for lunch, we were not disappointed as the food was very good, was served nice and hot and the service was very prompt without us feeling rushed. This is a village pub and is likely to be supported during the evenings by the locals, various boards inside showed different themed food evenings that were on offer, and it was nice to see & feel the warmth from the lit log burner. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a nice quality meal at reasonable prices, with a pleasant garden should the weather be warm.
