Lovely food. Bit of a European feeling in terms of ambience and taste. The price is the negative part, especially with the added 20% service charge. Overall great place.

Exceptional in every sense. A high end NY Manhattan experience in Dunedin Florida. Who would have thought. It is a “don’t miss it” memorable experience. Small, quaint, intimate. Exceptional food. Professional staff.

This is a very nice high end dining experience. The food is absolutely outstanding and the service is second to none in this area. My only caution to most diners is that the bill will be significant.

Incredible holiday menu with fancy appetizers, and figgy pudding for dessert! The steak was cooked to perfection, the lobster claws were huge and decadent. The Maple Glazed Pork Belly was so good, I didn’t want it to end. Adam chose a delicious Bordeaux and Royal Tokaji for dessert. Jay was attentive and friendly. We were treated like family and the experience was magnificent!

The server (Jason) was amazing. We were served the holiday menu, everything was excellently prepared and presented. Had the Sea Bass main course, black pearl salad with the poppyseed dressing was delightful, and the black pearl ice cream was wonderful. The entire dining experience was great, I’d recommend for a special ocassion.

My friend and I thought the restaurant was somewhat overrated. The space was tight and cramped feeling and the service just average. The white truffle lobster risotto "starter" was out of this world! But the filet mignon "entree" was a major disappointment. The sauce was heavy and too salty while parts of the charred steak were actually burnt. Finally, our wine (merlot & white sauvignon blanc) were very mediocre for the price. It's highly unlikely we'll return or recommend the restaurant.

I really like the pre-fixed menus, Chef made each corse as we finished the previous. This is an amazing high end establishment that deserves an applaud, thanks guys! Oh, the wine pairing was definitely worthy…

I've long maintained that the Black Pearl offers some of the finest food I've eaten on three continents. I recently introduced two overseas visitors (both serious foodies) to the Black Pearl. Both raved about every single dish and concluded that the filet was the best they'd ever eaten. What's not to love when every mouthful is pure bliss? The Black Pearl wins, hands down, every time.
