The Blackbird Restaurant is a Chef Owned Restaurant serving local, fresh ingredients. The Blackbird’s goal is to delight guests with cooking grounded in the traditions and ingredients of the Carolinas creating an unique and vibrant menu – New American with Southern Flares.

The menu features the seasonal best from local farmers, fresh catches from the coast of the Carolinas, incredible local micro-brews, specialty cocktails, and great wines from the around the world. Our menu changes seasonally to reflect the bounty of the area and the chef’s creativity. The Blackbird’s award-winning food, desserts and prompt service will impress you every time.

We are located in the heart of downtown Asheville, on Biltmore Ave. You can find us at the corner of The Aloft Hotel.

Parking Garage is located at the back on Lexington Ave. The first hour is free.

    This is a great restaurant! The food is gourmet, service is impeccable, ambiance and ambiance was excellent. Even the desserts were outstanding. Loved the bread pudding! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because it was very expensive!! I mean $16 for least expensive white wine!

    The restaurant was about half full, on Christmas eve. It took awhile for the waiter to come to our table and over 45 mintues to get ourfood. I had the shrimp and grits, which was like a soup. It was tasty but a little weird it had to be eaten with a spoon. My companion had the eggs benedict and there was NOTHING good about them. The potatoes were cold. The first bite of the poached eggs there was a giant piece of egg shell. The shortribs were very dry and the biscuit even dryer. Just BAD all around. The kitchen was aware that there was something wrong with eggs, without our asking, and instead of remaking the meal, they sent out new poached eggs, as we were done eating. My companion did not want to make a fuss, so we didn't send the food back. But I think our waiter was aware the meal was not up to scratch. Honestly it was so bad we won't be back.

    We had a delicious meal at Blackbird last night. They have a great variety of options including many vegan options. We are so fortunate to have this restaurant here in Asheville. They are consistently one of the best options for dining out here!

    Both my wife and I said yum, yum, yum. This was the best meal we had in a long time.She had pan seared salmon with succotash and I had the trout with scallops and Risotto. Truly a wonderful experience

    Savannah was amazing! Lovely personality and very friendly. Food was a bit slow to arrive and potatoes were not hot but overall pleasant brunch.

    Fantastic meal! Goat cheese omelet…stuffed full of really good things! The only thing better than the good was the service. Happy, helpful , and attentive. Blackbird aims to please…and they do!
