   Had a great lunch while visiting family in the area. Love the restaurant, decor, location/setting, and of course the food & service. Thank you!! We will be back for sure.

   The service and ambiance were good. The food, on the other hand, was underwhelming. My salmon and asparagus were overcooked to the point of being inedible. The small portion of mashed potatoes served with the salmon was laughable. The manager graciously offered me a free dessert, which was nice. I don’t think I will return to dine here again. Sorry!

   Should be one of the best restaurants but is not. The view is fabulous but this is our 3rd visit and probably the last. We were there this time on a Sunday and probably had the “B” team but that is not an excuse as the other two times were during the week before concert at the Beacon. Service is never more than fair. Very disappointing.

   We had Brunch at the Boat House and it was amazing. Our server, Geneva had several tables and not in the same area, she was still attentive and gracious which impressed me. The food cameout in a timely manner, nicely presented, and tasting awesome. Our cocktails were delicious but took a bit of time to get both rounds. This was worth our drive from Williamsburg and we definitely will visit again in the future. I highly recommend this place!

   i reserved an outside table for valentine’s day weekend not knowing there was going to be a downpour. i called the day of my reservation and the host was able to find a table indoors for us. all the staff was super friendly, the restaurant was gorgeous, and even though it was cloudy and raining, the view of the james river was beautiful. and on top of it the food was amazing!

    A Perfect Night at The Boathouse at City Point I had the most incredible experience at this restaurant! On February 14, 2025, I got engaged to my best friend—one of the happiest moments of my life, second only to becoming a mother. I was completely overjoyed and surprised! The food and service were absolutely excellent, making the night even more special. Despite living in the area for a year, this was my first visit to The Boathouse at City Point, and I’m so glad he chose this restaurant for such a memorable occasion. I couldn’t have asked for a better setting to celebrate such a beautiful moment. Highly recommend!
