   A nice place for a roast supper for Mother’s Day. Pretty view of the river and bridge. Friendly staff. Delicious Eton Mess for dessert.

   Second time visiting here and will probably not return. Sat on the river side terrace conservatively part and a t was cold despite asking the server to put the heat on. Service was poor, taking the menus too quickly , placing dessert menus on the table rather than in your open hand not enough glasses for guests. Food was below standard having to ask for additional condiments for a part of 5. To be meal was over cooked and burned and then refusing to offer an apology for a clearly substandard meal.

   Excellent Sunday roast with friendly, attentive service. Cauliflower cheese as an optional side dish would be a welcome addition.

   Another great meal at the boatman. 3 courses all top quality. Well worth the drive from where we live to make it our regular night out.

   The food was lovely, the staff were attentive and polite. The only thing that ruined our dining experience was the level of noise from the large table behind us and the fact that it was cold because the door kept opening close by us despite us asking for a table away from the door. I didn’t understand why he was sat right opposite the door when they were many tables in on the right empty and we were sat next to a party of about 10 very loud people. It’s a shame because we would’ve stayed longer for another drink. Had we been sat further away from the door and the largeparty.
