The Buck Hotel is a converted restaurant that is extremely versatile in the options it offers patrons. Here, there are three distinct dining areas guests can choose from. The first is a spacious deck that is ideal for when the weather is nice. The second is the tavern, which fits the ideal sports bar atmosphere. This is where guests should go if they want to grab a quick bite, drink a cold beer and listen to a live band. The main dining area at The Buck Hotel is known as The Fireside, and is the main dining area that significantly more elegant and is best for a intimate date night.

We went back to the Buck after having a bad experience. It was such an improvement. The Manhattan clam chowder was wonderful. The spinach was freshly sautéed. I had the best flounder francaise. My dining partner had the shrimp sampler which was also wonderful.

The Buck Hotel was a great experience for my mom’s 60th birthday! The staff was able to accommodate our party before our reservation and the food was amazing!

We have been going to the Buck hotel for many years and I usually like my meal. Unfortunately I did not like the lobster franchise last night. First it came out too salty , so I had to send it back. After waiting , while my husband also waited to eat his food, they brought it back. It was now too much lemon. All I could taste was lemon. I don’t know why they felt the need to mask the flavor of the lobster but that’s what they did. I couldn’t eat it. The waitress was sweet, apologized but said they would only take $20 off the total price which was $40 some dollars. I was surprised as most reputable restaurants would remove the entire meal from the check. My husband did enjoy his meal but I left hungry . I won’t be returning for a long time!

We are sorry to hear about your experience. While that dish is not made with any added salt, the crabmeat in the dish tends to be salty. Adding more lemon to the sauce would have lessened the saltiness of the crabmeat. We are happy that your husband enjoyed his meal thank you for you support of local restaurants. Next time we would be happy to replace your entree with something else on the menu.

The Buck Hotel always delivers! Food was delicious as always the Salmon BLT and Crab Stack were wonderful!

This was my first time back at the Buck since the Spring. It has gone down hill. No wonder it was empty at 5:30 pm on Sunday night. It has mediocre wine at $14 a glass. The Manhattan clam chowder was so thick that even though it overfilled the cup it just stayed there. The asparagus were cold and wimpy. The server did bring me sautéed spinach which was a little better. It definitely was sitting around. The broiled stuffed shrimp were good and they should have been for $38. Lump crabmeat instead of back fin would have made it better. The potato salad was excellent. The server was also excellent. The problem is there are no other seafood houses in lower buck county. They can and should do better.

Two of us had the prim rib special. Meat was seasons nicely and was tender. Generous portion of meat along with potatoes and veggies. One had the ribs and said they were delicious and one had a chicken dish.
