The Bucks Arms is a traditional 17th century pub and former coaching Inn located next to the Blickling Estate. Serving many real ales and great food, we are also dog-friendly with a large garden.

Situated just a mile outside the town of Aylsham The Bucks offers a traditional English pub feel, with picturesque surroundings and plenty of history - while being within easy reach of other amenities and attractions.

Excellent Food - With our team of chefs running the kitchen, you can expect delicious home-cooked food beautifully presented and packed with flavour.

Quality Drinks - We are proud to be a Cask Marque recognised pub and have a great selection of real ales including at least 2 seasonal guest beers.

Wines are served by the glass or the bottle from an exciting and changing wine list.

Absolutely fantastic staff and even though they were obviously very busy, everyone was cheerful. What a lovely way to finish off 2024.

Great food, tried to seat us at a tiny table squeezed in by the door, when we objected they moved us to a better position. Food was delicious, good selection but no daily specials options. Service was slow and functional rather than welcoming. Didn’t warn us that one option was not available until we came to order so we had to rethink and find something else, disappointing.

Lovely lunch out at the bucks. Food was delicious as always. Large portion of hot honey & bbq ribs for me, my wife had smoked haddock, with bacon & leek mash, with a cream sauce.

We had Sunday roast. The beef was like velvet and the veggies were very tasty. Good, friendly service too.

The food was excellent however they had lost our reservation and after finding us a table rushed us through our meal.

27 December is a busy time for all good pubs and restaurants. The Bucks Arms was no exception. Though obviously under considerable pressure, the staff worked quickly and efficiently to take orders and bring food. The menu is extensive and varied, with separate sections for meat, fish, vegetarian, a children's menu and small plates and starters. We never reached the desserts as our first two courses were very large and very filling. Excellent cooking. Helpfully, the menu was on the website. The location is, of course, sublime and the pub itself unassuming and slightly old-fashioned, a wonderful, traditional, place. if you're visiting Blickling and want a meal or a drink at the bar, don't miss the Bucks Arms.
