BUTCHER BAR—the latest restaurant from the crew that brought you Varga Bar, Mercato and Valanni.
We invite you to our restaurant that playfully celebrates “meat lovers and comfort foods” complimented with a bar featuring 16 beers on tap, 6 draft wines, and a whiskey-based cocktail program.                                                                       We met up with some close friends and had a very enjoyable and leisurely time. The food, especially the baby back ribs, was delicious. Good value on the carafes of wine. Seems like a nice local place!

                                                                      This place gets a solid B-. The good: Portions were very generous and service was pleasant. A few of the dishes (crispy potato gnocchi, Korean fried cauliflower) we ordered were tasty. The bad: Unfortunately, the bulk of the dishes fell short in terms of taste and even temperature. The pretzel bread rolls were gummy on the inside and tasted almost stale; the ice cream on our skillet cookie was literally ice (and much less so cream), and the cookie itself was dry. It's a really noisy place so be prepared to shout at each other over the table. We probably won't come back anytime soon, given how Philadelphia has so many other dining options.

                                                                      My fiancé and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and boy were we impressed. Our server made sure to make us feel special and brought us over champagne to celebrate! We thoroughly enjoyed the food, which came out pipping hot, very quickly, and tasted amazing. Some of our favorite dishes were the chicken wings and the half rack of ribs. The drinks were top tier too (my favorite was the Pineapple Express)! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a fun date night out!

                                                                      Such a great joint, as always. Restaurant week special was a lot of food for $40 bucks. Food came out hot and very fast, bartender was amazing. Coming back soon with a group for the trough!
