Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required. Fabulous experience! The lovely people at the front door greeted us with genuine, bright smiles, setting the tone for our evening. Veronica was fantastic from start to finish. Her enthusiasm in telling us about the specials (Bone-In Filet Oscar-Style—WOW!!) and her casual upsell of house cocktails felt natural and showcased her experience. Veronica’s interaction with our 5-year-old was much appreciated, especially as many servers overlook little ones in nicer restaurants. Mario, our server assistant, was polite, unobtrusive, and always smiling. We also had the pleasure of sharing this experience with Sarah in person—thank you to her for the time and meaningful conversation. Shout out to the culinary team as well; everything we ordered was spot on!

Nice setting at the restaurant. The waiter was super nice & attentive. Food was great! I would recommend this restaurant.

Our server was incredible. Very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Would definitely come back and would love to keep requesting her.

Capital Grill did an amazing job for an extremely busy New Year’s Eve. The staff was right on. Juan was great. Food was good.

Spending New Year’s Eve at the Capital Grille was fantastic! Very festive and the seafood tower was amazing! Our waiter, Rita J was knowledgeable, courteous and very thoughtful. This was a wonderful way to ring in the New Year!

As usual, the food was 5-star quality! Also as usual, our server, Rodrigo, was terrific. We had a bit of trouble early-on as they seated us at a dinky table for two, but we insisted on something better and they moved us to a nicer table. Thank you!

We have spent New Years Eve at the Capital Grille (various Chicagoland locations) for the past 15 years, and every year we thoroughly enjoy ourselves; 2024 was no different. The exception this year is that there was a 16 oz filet special with a black garlic and cherry glaze. We had not seen this option before and, while 16 oz is a large filet, my wife ordered it…..it was amazing. I ordered the NY strip Au Poivre (?), which is always delicious, but after stealing a bite of my wife’s filet, I was lamenting my decision; her filet was just that good. As is typical and expected at this restaurant, the service was very good, the food was cooked to perfection and it was a good way to kick 2024 out the door.
