   A lovely meal in tucked away spot close to Union Square. We cannot rave enough about the Red Plum and Grape Salad - salty, fruity, porky in just the right way, and bright with frisee and arugula. Mains were beautifully done renditions of what I consider California classics. Sides were equally lovely. Cocktails were delicious and dessert made my mom want to move to the neighborhood.

   We had an unbelievable time at The Cavalier! The entire experience and hospitality from the staff was top class. Can’t say enough good things about the food and the people.

   It was a beautiful dinner. Our server was amazing. We got a few shareable for the table. The Brussel chips were phenomenal. Everything tastes so pure and light. The flavors worked so well together and tickled all my tastebuds. The margarita was fire as well.

   It was such a cute atmosphere. We ordered the wedge salad, lamb ribs with pomegranate jam, steak tartare, the salmon and we had to order dessert (bread pudding) . Everything was so delicious. Since it wasn’t too busy, the manager took us to the speak easy that’s attached !!

    This was my second time here and not as good as the first. It was extremely loud, to the point of having to shout at my companion to be heard! Food was ok but not that flavorful. We asked for some bread to go with the burrata starter but were told they didn't have any, which seemed odd. The shrimp dish was tasty but a tiny portion and expensive for the amount. The creme brulee was deconstructed with a creme fraiche style cream which tasted weird...sometimes it's good to just leave a classic dish alone!
