Food was amazing as always but service was very slow - people who were seated after us finished with their meals before us.

The team at the Charles is phenomenal. Whenever I am in town. I make sure that I make time to stop and have dinner there. The staff is always welcoming. The food is always great. I have never had a bad meal there. Highly recommend this.

I love this place. Been there many times. Service was so slow. Food was cold. Manager said they were hosting a private party in back for 40 and it was affecting service. Don’t take reservations for more than u can service. I hope this was a one time thing. I will be back.

Escorted to the “speakeasy “ lounge and watched mixologist perform a proper Negroni, dinner service a true Team effort, food perfect plating and timely attention!

The Charles is a beautiful restaurant. They have a speakeasy area also for dining, which was where we were seated. The food was outstanding and had a lot of options without pork which is our restriction. The manager was really nice and met with us to congratulate us on our anniversary. He offered a free dessert, but our waitress did not follow through on his offer for us. It felt a bit awkward to say something, so we just accepted what occurred. We did feel a bit of an awkward vibe from our waitress who was more interested in a couple in front of us, but I guess they connected more personally than we did. We loved the overall experience, but this part regarding the dessert offer from the manager and our waitress who didn’t follow through was something a bit awkward, and more awkward to speak on in the moment.
