Typically, I make it a point NOT to leave negative reviews. And truthfully, I have left more positive reviews of this place in the past, but I think it’s important to be honest above all else. We dined here for the Valentines Day prefixe dinner, and in a word, our experience was depressingly underwhelming. We arrived at 8:00 and were seated at 8:15 in what appeared to be a meeting room converted into a dining room. First 🚩. After being seated in the furthest possible table from the kitchen, we noticed the wait staff arguing over who would take our table as they were kinda/sorta busy. Second 🚩 We waited nearly 30 minutes for any server to come to our table, then waited an additional 15 before we finally got water. It is now 9pm and we’ve not even placed a drink order. While we waited for any type of service, I noticed more than 1 table disputing their bill. Third 🚩 This is all to say, we should have known. We should have known this was not going to be a good experience. We should have known that the PREVIOUSLY Portioned, and PLATED, meal would take nearly 2.5 hours, only to be served cold and soulless. We should have known that our drinks would never once be refilled. We should have known to have just stood up and walked out after the first 45min “oversight”. This was no a romantic $300 well spent, and quite likely the last time we dine at this establishment. Hopefully normal dinner service is better.

Had dinner on my birthday-couldn’t have been any better! The food, the service, the friendly staff, all made it the perfect experience! I highly recommend The Chateau for anyone who loves great food and beautiful ambience. I was treated like a VIP, I will definitely go back, as so many items on the menu were very appealing and priced appropriately. Ten out of ten stars!

We have spent may winters visiting Anna Maria and know most of the restaurants very well. The Chateau is truly one of lthe best. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We were promptly seated upon our arrival and a server was there to take our drink order. I had the duck confit and my wife had the mushroom ravioli. Both were delicious. I would highly recommend Chateau.

One of the better restaurants on the island! We had an amazing meal!! Everything was spectacular! Highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back!

Overall experience was good and food was excellent. However we were overcharged twice . Overcharged $7 on fish of day added to a salad and was charged extra $1.50 for ice in drinks. Really what a rip off. Manager defended pricing as ‘All restaurants do this”. Poor attitude!!!
