   The lighting was not intimate....had fan spot lights beaming on us. Winter comfort it was too cool. The floors were dusty and dirty ....which we didn’t understand why it wasn’t clean because we were first to be seated. The meal was very cold and had not much flavor which I had the NC trout meal. Breakfast meal was a disaster which I had the hash dish that was scorched. Waitress didn’t ask how the meal was...once served the waitress was gone the remainder of meal. ... then showed up 15 minutes after we were done no one wanted to take the dishes away or ask if everything was ok. Was totally disappointed. Will not be coming back and don’t recommend.

   Staffing was very poor for the 3 meals we had there. Breakfast poorly cooked-- raw hash browns, omelette small and not seasoned. Long waits. Existing staff overwhelmed and running to keep up.

   Very nice setting. Food was good but not remarkable. Waiter was nice & friendly but seemed too busy to pay attention. Eg, we had to ask repeatedly to get ice water & he never seemed to notice.

   This place has lots of potential but the young staff desperately need better training and somebody needs to attend to marketing. Our server wasn’t familiar with any of the drinks and thus could not make informed recommendations. The menus on the table were not current and nobody has updated the website since 2018. You feel a bit dejected after being told for the 3rd time that something you ordered is not available anymore or the establishment has run out of the product:-/ I’d recommend using some other seasonings than salt and pepper for the lamb (perhaps garlic and rosemary). Presentation of the food needs work. We were very surprised to be the only patrons on a Friday night. Seems like the place could use some entertainment to compete with establishments downtown! The young staff were friendly and sweet, though chatty in the kitchen which could be heard loud and clear in the dining area. Overall the place has great bones but it would really benefit from greater polish and professionalism to help it match the ambience of the Inn and truly bump things up a notch!

   Great meal..one of the Best in the area We ❤️Ed the steak tips and the salmon. The Pot de Creme for dessert is yummy We will be returning soon
