There are a wide variety of restaurants in Ludlow, but Clive Arms stands out if you want traditional British food that makes the most of Ludlow’s local ingredients.

Our food is inspired by the seasonal produce of Shropshire and our surrounding counties. Many of our ingredients are handmade at Ludlow Farmshop. Our meat is reared in the fields surrounding us on the Earl of Plymouth’s Oakly Park Estate and is prepared by the award winning butchers at Ludlow Farmshop

Please note, we do add a 12.5% discretionary service charge onto the bill for groups of six or more.

                                                  Smart, comfortable and spacious bar and dining areas. Staff were excellent and it warm and inviting. It was Christmas Eve so, understandably, busy and a little too noisy for me. The food was very good although the choice mains was perhaps underwhelming for the quality of the venue. Our table was a tad sticky - not enough to complain about but table prep needs to be more thorough. There were three of us, one sat on a fitted sofa style seat, the other two seated at chairs. These weren’t the most comfortable - would have preferred chairs with arms. However, our overall experience was good.

                                                  Very disappointed. I have eaten at the Clive Arms before and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Today with a small group of friends we were sat in a cold corner next to a customer make a "conference call". This call was very intrusive. It was not possible to move and apparently it was not possible to ask the gentleman to speak more quietly. The meal was excellent but unfortunately the unfortunate issue, described above ruined our Clive Arms experience.

                                                  Lovely welcome from staff and nice ambience. We requested a private room, due to some special needs and they did provide one which made the day special for our family reunion. Food delicious as one would expect from the Ludlow Food Centre. We will certainly be back.

                                                  Excellent starters, mains and desserts. Party of four:- all had the Sunday beef roast dinner. Probably the best roast beef any of us have ever had in a restaurant. It was cooked to perfection and exactly as requested Also so tender that you could cut it with your fork - quite exceptional and also very local.

                                                  Having dined here twice before many years ago, (which was disastrous) we heard good things, and decided to give it a try. Food was good. Not great, not bad. Good would be fair and accurate. Service was great, friendly and attentive. Place was busy, but food came out really quickly. Prices were really reasonable, so can’t complain. If I had to rate the place out of 10, I’d give it a 7.
