   Fantastic service from Lou from the minute we arrived until we left. Food was delicious - Sunday roasts and the vegetables were perfect. Food and drinks were served in a timely fashion. Location great....and the sun shone. Thank you to the whole team - including all those behind the scenes.

   As always, excellent food in a relaxing atmosphere and attentive service. The Club House may be a little bit off the beaten track but if you've never been here before, why not?

   Well first want to say we’ve been here many times. Today was an extremely busy and even though bookings had been taken it’s fair to say there was a delay in seating. We’d booked in marquee as we had our dog with us and although there was a table free (admittedly for 6) we (2 of us) were asked to sit in the garden. We did this but didn’t understand why as we were seated in the garden at a table for 8 … so why we were asked to move to the garden and not those who’d booked the marquee (who hadn’t turned up yet) I’m not sure. Bet hey ho… weather was great so took our seat. We waited for our order to be taken, and waited… then had to prompt for service. Finally we had someone take the order, olives to share rather than a starter and then our main meal - Lemon sole & Beef dinner. Our drinks came really quickly then we sat and waited, waited some more and waited nearly an hour (we knew it would be a while given how busy it was) but we at least expected the olives … I finally gave up and again prompted to find out when we could expect anything …. I was asked whether we’d had our starters - err nope! .. then the olives were bought to be told mains also on the way out. Obviously we didn’t want the olives at the same time so asked for them to be taken away. The meals came out and the food was as usual very good. But today let down by the obvious over booking .. when we book a table at other restaurants and they are ‘reserved’ walk in’s or diners are told they can be served but need to vacate a table by the time it’s reserved for. Maybe this is something that Could be considered. Also when seating patrons in the garden when they have booked it would be a good idea for the waitresses to regularly check whether they are ready to order. In summary fab food but not the best experience today which was a shame.

   Lovely setting and lovely people however overbooked. Waited 45mins to be seated at a table we’d booked a time slot for 3 weeks prior. Then waited a good while before orders were taken and the same for food a drinks. Disorganised which was disappointing. Last time we visited it was great so hopefully this was just a blip.

   It was a beautiful day and The Clubhouse was very busy as it was also Mothers' Day. We thought that there would be a long wait, although we had booked, but we were taken to a table straight away and although we were told that there could be a delay with food, there was no delay. Staff were very friendly and food good.

   We went two nights running. Just brilliant. We will certainly return many more times. The service is second to none.
