A MODERN SPIN ON AMERICAN FARE
The Copper Crow on Welsh Road offers lunch and dinner in addition to late-night cocktails and the ability to host private events. The restaurant itself has three bars, including one on the outdoor patio and another in the private dining room "The Nest".
The menu includes New-American-style offerings and has specialty pizzas, small plates to share, wood-fired steaks, and much more. Boasting 20 tap lines, a selection of crafted cocktails as well as an inclusive wine list The Copper Crow is eager and ready to serve Montgomery County.                                                                                                                                 We were excited t try a new spot as we got a GC for the holidays, but pon arrival the hostess was less than welcoming, we both thought, and then she debated over where to seat us although the restaurant was mainly empty, including the bar area. She proceeded to pawn us off on another hostess who curtly seated is in a 2 top, when I had requested a corner location, but it was a bad first impression. We inquired about happy hour and she seemed reluctant to discuss aspects of it, again strange. Then our server arrived, and he was warm and welcoming, got us a happy hour menu just to peruse, and we ordered a mixed green salad which was great, and the blackened shrimp and crab pasta. The pasta was cut into sections just short enough to not be able to twirl but too long to eat cleanly with a fork, and no spoons in siteso we just made the best of it, but it did make it extremely challenging to eat cleanly. The pasta was al dente which was good. The flavor of the sauce was excellent however as were the crab, various grape tomatoes and veggies. The shrimp however were overcooked and not blackened, as described in the menu, which was a big disappointment. My wife is not one to send thing back but I believe proper feedback improves the experience for all. Overall the meal was good, but missed on several key components, and our server, Kay, was absolutely great and made amends for the poor start to our dining experience. The vibe is fun and upbeat and the bar looked fun as well and was packed upon our departure. Hopefully if we decide to return for another visit the hostesses will be having a better attitude.

                                                                                                                                It was a Christmas Eve splurge. Haven’t been here in a few years. Menu looked slightly changed. Our whole party had filets, which were delicious and cooked perfectly to order. Our server was very nice. Knew it would be on the pricier side, but it was worth it.
