   We booked just a few days before for 10 of us....they accommodated us in the snug which was lovely.The Carvery was superb as always and plenty of meat choice of veg ! It was pretty full being a Sunday but the food and the service was good considering how busy they were!Only thing was no one cleared our table from the plates...just a bit busy but no big deal... Lovely atmosphere food delish! Our 4th time for a Carvery and it hasn't let us down yet!! See you soon team!Thanks for bringing the Bday cake out with the candles lit ,and extra gifts too!    A very welcoming pub. The mid week carvery is real value for money catering for all sizes of appetites.Staff all very attentive and friendly.

   A lovely meal with very attentive, professional and friendly but not intrusive attention by both Leuan and Ash. My squid starter was fabulous and we both had perfectly cooked fish and chips (with lovely batter). We have been to the Countryman on numerous occasions and have only ever had one meal which wasn’t up to the normal standard of excellence, so that’s not too bad is it!

   Been a few times now and never disappointed. Went today for my Partner Lynn's Birthday, I rang and booked a table a asked if they could arrange a bottle of Champagne for me. On arrival we were over the moon as a table was layed not only with a small bottle of bubbles but also a card and a box of chocolates both complimentary. Such a brilliant thought as I was going to buy a bottle for her. (Which I did as well) Well done Countryman and Staff. See you all again soon. The Ozzie couple Mike and Lynn .x

   Carvery is excellent the chef was very friendly and happy to help. It was a very busy day for the pub and yet the staff were a credit to the pub and it was staffed with the special day in mind. Lovely mothers day daffodils for everyone and a lovely welcome. Dad had fish and chips and really rated it . I would recommend this pub for anyone looking for excellent food and a friendly atmosphere and it is very dog friendly too.

   Highly recommend, food was amazing and the service couldn't be better. The waitress we had was absolutely amazing and engaging with my 2 year old, even when my little girl was screaming like a 2 year old sometimes does when getting excited but tired. Good atmosphere and felt very welcoming.

   We have eaten at the countryman before and tend to go for the carvery which is excellent. We also go every month for the quiz held there so decided to eat before hand last night. I had the warm salad with chicken which was really lovely and very tasty. My husband had the steak and ale pie and the only complaint he has was that there could have been more gravy and the peas were a little hard. The pie however was delicious. I had ice cream for dessert which was delicious and my husband has crumble and custard, again really lovely but could have done with a little more custard. Very good value for money and staff great and service excellent
