Good food and helpful staff but very slow for the food to arrive - waited for 45 minutes and was told 3 times the food was being plated up

We found the staff really friendly and very helpful. Our two course lunch was delicious, thank you to all concerned.

My son was happy with his burger but I was disappointed with my fish and chips. The quality of the potatoes was poor and they’d weren’t really chips but cut up potatoes with the skin on I would rather have had the french fries my son had with his burger. The fish batter was a bit ‘heavy’ and it didn’t taste freshly fried. It was a shame as it was my birthday lunch. The noise from other diners in the room was so great that we quickly drank our coffee and left, as it was hard to have a conversation!!

Whilst the food was good quality, we ordered three roast dinners and all were cold by the time they were served. We did advise a member of the team but they didn’t do much about it. It was also quite cold in the pub, but we would definitely eat there again and passed on the feedback at the time.

Went for Sunday lunch with a group of friends, been here many times before but clearly since Andy the manager has left things have gone down hill slightly. As always delicious food, but the service was far from excellent. Had to ask twice for gravy and sauces to compliment our roast dinner. Had to ask twice for hot milk for my coffee, very slow and poor service throughout our visit. Staff just walking around looking lost, just seemed no one at was taking charge of the place. A real shame.

First visit ( needed somewhere convenient for airport and a decent Sunday roast). Had trouble finding actual entrance to building but once in, was impressed. Lots of staff do no waiting around. It was a freezing cold day and not very warm inside the building but it soon warmed up once more people arrived. My friend was on crutches but we were put on a table up a level so she struggled with steps. Our order was taken quickly and the food arrived promptly. It was hot, plentiful and delicious. No complaints at all with the food. Good value for money!

A great Sunday roast with cheerful and helpful staff , very busy which to us was a good sign . Recommended.
