The Pub The Cricketers is a country pub and dining rooms with a large beer garden and outdoor patio dining in the summer. The pub is a beautifully refurbished and extended early 19th century public house. Once known to the locals as “The Old Orchard House”, we really are a hidden gem on Cricketers Lane in Warfield, just a short drive from Ascot Racecourse, Legoland and Bracknell. We are family friendly and also happy to welcome dogs into our bar and garden areas as we always have a jar of dog treats in the porch. Whether you want to warm yourself in the sun outside in the summer with a glass of Pimms or enjoy a perfect pint of cask conditioned real ale in front of a real log fire in the winter, the Cricketers is the perfect place for a drink. If you are looking for a great venue for a family get together, a working lunch, special occasion or a light snack we’d love you to join us.

We have been here a few times now for roast, always fantastic food (Yorkshire puds are massive!) and service is great also. The nice chap that took us to our table actually moved us to a quieter table on his own accord which was a nice touch and near the tv so we could watch the rugby. We will be back again very soon!

Everything was great although £2.50 per scoop of ice cream for the child in the party was a little steep

Excellent attentive service Music was too loud when a quiz was about to start but on request they turned it down so was fine and we could continue our conversation! Good food.

I can only rate our experience on the phone call we received on New Tears Day, even after booking a few weeks in advance they called me on New Years Day!!! Morning to say that they had decided to close the kitchen at 6pm and we had booked our table for 6pm, so could we come earlier to have our meal. I explained that we had travelled from Cornwall and had been in a hotel and had lunch so an earlier option was not an option for us, but they didn't seem bothered or care. I thought that this was disgraceful. Surely you know as a business that guests are coming so why would you close a kitchen at the time when you have guests booked in, and ON THE DAY too. Luckily we found somewhere else for our New Years Day meal but it was not easy as most places were fully booked. The place we re-booked was incredible so in future we shall be going there.

Having booked 3 months ago you’d have expected if there was an issue they’d have phoned, emailed but not just obviously wanted to wait until seated at the table. Sorry we are running short on staff and can only offer you sausage rolls, burgers, chips & I shut down about then, we decided all these things we could cook from our f/f and drank our drinks to leave. Wait staff was literally thrown in the deep & was great at confronting the lack of food/menu. !!!!! If they’d have been honest that there was a problem maybe it would have been better. But to offer sausage tools & chips I wish I’d have gone to Greggs. Declined the food & left. Don’t bother basically

Great food. Slow service (although it was a Saturday in December) - it took 1.5hrs from ordering until our mains arrived and the service team didn't comment or apologise - we had ordered sandwiches, fish&chips and steaks, so nothing that should have taken so long. There were bigger parties in the restaurant that perhaps were prioritised over our smaller table. Luckily we weren't in a rush. It was delicious once it arrived and we all enjoyed our meals.

Hi Meg, Thanks for your review. Saturday was an extremley busy day for us. We had various large 20+ parties with us that all ordered food. We do try to make food as ordered, but that seems to be a long time to wait on your food arival. Hopfully the atmosphere was great. See you again during a less busy time. The Cricketers Team

Pleasant surroundings and ambience. Big group of sweary rugby types just inside the door slightly off putting but further in its a pleasant family pub. Decent selection and the roast beef was spot on and we didn’t have to wait too long. Less than £90 for family of four including tip, very good value these days.

The staff were all incredibly friendly but I feel a gratuity of 12and a half is too high . The wines were quite expensive and the food very mediocre. Such a shame as it’s a lovely setting .
