Located in the historic town of Kenilworth in the heart of Warwickshire, The Cross is an award-winning pub that combines Michelin-starred food with a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.

Under the guidance of chef-director Adam Bennett, we have held a Michelin star for over nine years and are proud to boast three AA Rosettes. We received a Good Food Award Gold Seal in 2021.

The Cross is housed in a Grade II listed 19th-century inn and has been sympathetically restored to retain its heritage alongside contemporary touches that make it a fabulous place to enjoy great food, a casual atmosphere and informal but attentive service.

Our main dining room is a former school room that leads to a cosy and welcoming bar - previously a butcher's shop.

Another dining room overlooks the pass, where guests can glimpse the team of chefs busily at work.

We have a green and spacious pub garden, perfect for aperitifs, cocktails and post-dinner drinks.

    From start to finish the staff were friendly and attentive. This was our second visit to The Cross; we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. What we like about it, other than the food obviously, is how we're made to feel welcome there and it isn't snooty. Everything I ate was lovely - crispy duck egg, roast chateaubriand and black forrest gateau pudding. We were also given a card and a little sweet treat for our anniversary. I left feeling, not full but, content.

    We went to The Cross for my husband’s 60th. I have some specific food intolerances and the Chef Adam Bennett was very helpful to create a menu that I was able to eat with confidence.

    As always, a simple menu with three choices for each course. The difficulty is not the small menu - but the fact that any one of the choices would be excellent. We had the crab soup starter and the salmon rillettes starter. And both of us plumped for the cod as main. All expertly prepared and beautifully presented.
