"The Cygnet at The Swan" is an award winning restaurant led by Paul Welburn (previously awarded Michelin star at The Oxford Kitchen 2018). We have currently been awarded "3AA Rosettes" since being open, as well as both local awards "Ox in a Box" and "Muddy Stilettos Best Restaurant" awards.

We are open from Wednesday to Saturday, bookings are encouraged but not necessary. Our style is a "relaxed fine dining" always looking out for our guests comfort and experience.

Our food is a fusion of British cuisine with Paul's personal twists.
We offer our signature 4 course tasting menu for the evening (or lunch, just ask us) using seasonal ingredients.
Our menu can be enjoyed with matching wines handpicked by the restaurant staff.
Our menu is everchanging with the seasons, so there is always a reason to visit again!
We also offer our grazing menu for all lunchtimes and some evenings, with a selection of smaller and larger plates, ordered and served as and when for a more relaxing style.

    Our signature tasting menu - £69 Our menu is everchanging, and we always look to offer something special and different to our new and returning guests. Please make us aware of any dietary requirements before arriving at our restaurant, as we may not be able to effectively cater for you without notice. We have a vegetarian menu available for our guests, but are currently unable to cater for vegans. Our lounge is open from 6pm, should you wish to arrive before your booking time and enjoy a drink on the sofa.

    I had lunch at The Cygnet with a friend for a significant birthday and it did not disappoint. Food was superb and the staff went to great effort to ensure the meal felt special for her.

    Excellent social Sunday selection of dishes - relaxed fine dining with friends. Would definitely recommend.

    Superb lunch - everything from the welcome , cosy seating area,table setting and if course the food was exceptional . Menu was well balanced with first class ingredients imaginatively served with some new ideas to savour . Loved our time there .

    Quality of food was excellent and we were served by people who were (mostly) bright and cheerful. A memorable festive get together with family and loved the big round table (so much better than the long narrow table at a different venue in Oxford in Dec 2023)

    Fantatsic experience - superb food with perfect pairing of wines. Very knowledgable and attentive staff who were very 'kind' when a loud table were intruding on our enjoyment and, unpromtped, they offered us dessert in the lounge. One of the best meal eperiences may friends and I have ever had. Thank you!!

    Short lunch menu but usually is good for fresh home cooked food, could not fault. Best fine dining with in 40 min drive. Definitely be back. So friendly too.

    Superb quality interesting food at very reasonable price especially the set lunch. Deserves to be better known and a 'must go' place to dine out in the area.
