The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents.                                                     Had a great dinner at the Del Bar in Lake Delton, WI. We have been their numerous times and not once have we had a a bad meal or poor service. The service (Shane was the server) was excellent as always. And the food again was outstanding. My wife had huge sea scallops with squash with brussel sprouts as the side. Very very good except a little light on the squash as far as quantity. I had the lobster roll, hash browns and french onion soup. Also, very very good. However, I prefer a warm lobster roll instead of the cold roll. Just my preference. We also bought a $200 gift card and received an extra $40 for use in the future. Great marketing by the Del Bar. Definitely we will be back again and again and again.

                                                    We have lived in Reedsburg since 1984 and visit the Del Bar often. The best restaurant on the planet. Expensive and worth every penny. This was the first time we sat in the room on the north side. It was very noisy. But still a great experience.

                                                    We've been here several times in the past few years, and it's always 5 stars. The food is awesome, the atmosphere is modern but old supper club esk. Service is great. Make a reservation, or you will probably be waiting. Check it out! We will be back for sure.

                                                    my prime rib was "luke warm" and outer pieces not to my liking (poor flavor and tough) ... have had better ... very little au jus provided .... have had much better meals at the dell bar... been going there since the 60's :) ..wifes steak/meal was great .... ..will just chalk it up to a bad night for prime rib....

                                                    Del Bar was the perfect location for our celebration dinner. Food and service were exceptional! It’s the absolute best dining experience available.
