Great food, fine ales, plenty of gin and a friendly atmosphere – what more could you want from a restaurant and country pub! 2024 has seen an extensive £150,000 refurbishment creating a stylish and contemporary restaurant & country pub..

Set in the tiny, picturesque village of Skipwith only ten miles south of York, it is the main destination inn in the area. The delicious created dishes on our menu are locally sourced and reflect the changing seasons, mirroring the wonderful walks to be found through Skipwith Common, right on its doorstep.

We had the sharing iron steak platter which was delicious and good value for money. The restaurant has been renovated since we last visited. It’s lovely and we were very impressed with the decor and cosy atmosphere. The staff were all friendly and attentive and looked after our daughter on her birthday. Would definitely recommend.

A group of 8 visited the Drovers last night and we had an amazing meal. All thoroughly enjoyed a range of main courses and desserts, the pick of which had to be the steak and ale pie! Lovely service and the restaurant decor etc is superb.

The Drovers is a lovely country pub, the menu changes seasonally and is very good, the ambiance is also lovely, definitely worth a visit.

Just in for a quick sandwich lunch. Lovely roasted vegetable sandwiches. Efficient but not rushed service. Just what we wanted. Thanks.

First time at the Drovers and will definately be visiting again. Good food and atmosphere, plus a lot of choice for Gluten free food 😋

Always fantastic . Service is impeccable, food is to a top standard . I love how the menu changes every month The onion bhaji starter is full of flavor Jake is always friendly and accommodating

There was 4 in our party, everyone agreed the pub was beautifully decorated and welcoming. The food was well presented, hot and very tasty. By the end if our meal we were planning a return visit in January...... I think that says it all.
